Gandhi Jayanti- 2nd October

October 2 is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the legendary freedom fighter who played a vital role in India's freedom struggle. Popularly known as 'Bappu', Mahatma Gandhi is led several movements, including Dandi March and Champaran Satyagraha, against the British Raj. As people across India celebrate his 152nd birth anniversary.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti - 2nd October

October 2 is a special day as today we celebrate the birth anniversary of the great leader Lal Bahadur Shastri. He was fondly known as 'Shastri Ji', served as India’s second Prime Minister. He had his own way of connecting with common people, and his legacy is still celebrated by millions of Indians. He promoted several revolutions such as White and Green, which lead to an increase in milk and food grain production. As people across India celebrate his 117th birth anniversary.
